The Embassy of Portugal represents and promotes Portugal in Croatia.

Although Portugal and Croatia officially established diplomatic and consular relations on February 3, 1992, and Portugal recognized the Republic of Croatia on January 15, 1992, the first Portuguese resident Ambassador to Croatia only presented credentials to the first President of Croatia Franjo Tuđman, on September 16, 1999. This was also the year when Portugal opened its Diplomatic Representation in Zagreb.

You may find out more about former Portuguese Ambassadors to Croatia by visiting the website of the Instituto Diplomático.

The consular section is opened from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 12 pm and you should pre-book your appointment whether by phone, fax, e-mail or using the application you may find at http://epzagreb.appointy.com. We encourage you to use this new pre-booking system that is free of charge, provides immediate useful information and allows to choose the date and time most convenient to you.

In 2015 the Embassy will be closed in the following days due to holidays: April 3 and 6, May 1, June 4, 10, 22 and 25, October 8 and December 25.
