TV T21 COMmunity Project

The second meeting of the TV Project T21 COMmunity in Zagreb was held in Zagreb on June 6. This project is led by the School of Education of Santarém, with the Croatian and Italian Associations of Down Syndrome, and supported by the Portuguese company ViaTecla. The goal of this initiative is to promote and contribute to the improvement of social inclusion and employment of young Europeans with Down Syndrome in the areas of tourism and e-skills. The Embassy of Portugal in Croatia welcomes the realization of this initiative, to which it wishes the greatest success.

Embassy of Portugal to Croatia awarded

APOM, the Portuguese Association of Museology, awarded the 2018 International Cooperation Award to the Portuguese Embassy in Croatia.
The annual awards’ ceremony of this institution was held on May 25, at the National Coach Museum, and the final intervention belonged to His Excellency the President of the Republic, Professor Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa.
The Portuguese Ambassador to Croatia, Jorge Silva Lopes, thanked for the distinction received, considered that in addition to the recognition it represents for the work carried out in the cultural area, it would be an incentive to pursue the goal of further dissemination of the Portuguese Cultures and Portuguese language in Croatia. He also thanked all those who have been participating in this exercise.

Participation of the writer David Machado in the Zagreb Book Festival

It took place on May 24, at the Museum of Arts and Crafts, a presentation session of the book "Average Index of Happiness", with the participation of its author, the Portuguese writer David Machado. The event, which was part of the Zagreb Book Festival 2018, was led by the writer and journalist Srdan Sandić, accompanied by the Croatian translator Dean Trdak.

The Embassy of Portugal in Croatia congratulates itself on the excellent participation of the Croatian public in this event, which once again demonstrates the genuine interest that exists in this country by the Portuguese culture, language, and authors, in particular the new generation of national writers.
